People are getting ready to move away from denim cutoffs in favor of the casual shorts trend that feels more suited for 2025.

      Whether you love them or not, it's that time of year again—shorts season has arrived. While it’s possible to forgo shorts in favor of skirts or linen pants during the hottest months, many of us, including myself, opt to wear them. Living in the South, I typically dress quite casually, so shorts fit perfectly into my lifestyle. However, I'm tired of denim cutoffs, and every summer, I look for alternative styles of casual shorts to refresh my wardrobe. Just in time, Hailey Bieber has recently showcased a trendy option.

      Spotted in L.A. earlier this week, Bieber was seen sporting a popular casual shorts style embraced by fashion icons like herself: athletic shorts. However, she styled them in a way that's far from gym-ready. The fashionable approach is to pair them with unexpected pieces that elevate the look. In her case, she matched her short black dolphin-hem running shorts with a leather bomber jacket (the must-have jacket this season), socks, and black leather loafers. It's an outfit that I believe is worth replicating, and it might just persuade others to swap their reliable denim cutoffs (at least for now) for trendy athletic shorts.
