As a Beauty Editor, completely using up skincare products is my greatest compliment—11 that are running low.
As someone who tests, researches, and recommends beauty products, my personal routine is constantly evolving. In fact, I would say I don’t have a consistent regimen at all; whenever someone asks me, "What’s your daily skincare routine?" I freeze momentarily, mentally rummaging through my current samples for a minute or two before I answer. I know this might seem like a trivial issue, but I mention it because I’ve actually gone through quite a few products lately. That’s significant! You see, I can’t accommodate finishing a skincare product completely before moving on to the next upcoming launch. So when I do finish one, it's a clear indication that the product was exceptional and worth finishing. Usually, there are one or two stable items in my routine occasionally. But at the moment? I have 11. Check them out below, and just so you know, I'm restocking as we speak.
**iS Clinical Cleansing Complex**
I can confidently say that this is the product that kept my skin clear all summer. (Well, there’s another exfoliating serum I should credit, but I’ll get to that in a moment.) The gel formula includes white willow bark extract—a natural alternative to salicylic acid, which is excellent for preventing the congestion I typically face in the hotter months. I’ve been using it every night after removing my makeup and sunscreen with an oil cleanser, and as shown in the video below, I need to restock soon.
**SOFIE PAVITT FACE Mandelic Clearing Serum**
Here it is—the exfoliating serum I will apply forever. Mandelic acid is the ideal AHA for my skin type, gently removing dead skin cells and preventing breakouts without causing flakiness or irritation. (If you have typical combination skin like mine, you should definitely give it a try and thank me later.) I’ve finished three bottles this year and truly can’t envision my routine without this brightening and clearing formula. When I pause my product testing to prepare for my fall wedding, this will be the only serum I use—no exceptions. I’m eternally grateful to Sofie Pavitt for creating such a standout product!
**Nécessaire Olibanum Deodorant**
I’ve never finished a deodorant so fast. I generally prefer aluminum-free formulas, and only a few have really impressed me since I switched to natural deodorant. Mandelic acid seems to be my skincare soul mate (if that's a thing) because it’s a key ingredient that neutralizes odor-causing bacteria. It also smooths bumps and fades discoloration due to its exfoliating and brightening properties, essentially providing both deodorant and underarm treatment in one. (Just be cautious when using it right after shaving; it can sting!) I also have to mention the scent, which is so delightful it could double as perfume. Trust me—it’s that good. I own Nécessaire's Olibanum body wash and lotion, which says a lot about my obsession with the warm, spicy aroma.
**HPPY Skin Plump + Renew Hyaluronic Acid Serum**
Yes, $94 for a hyaluronic acid serum might seem steep, but this is no ordinary HA formula. It’s infused with berry-derived nutrients (hence the natural berry hue) that both brighten and protect the skin from free radical damage. Since I can’t handle vitamin C, I constantly seek antioxidant serums that provide similar benefits without irritation, and this one perfectly meets that criteria. It’s a plumping hyaluronic acid serum combined with a brightening, vitamin-rich serum, all in a non-sticky formula. I was really disappointed when I ran out!
**HPPY Skin Prep + Illuminate Gel Moisturizer**
Take the berry-derived nutrients from the previous HA serum and blend them into the lightest, most bouncy gel moisturizer imaginable. I’ve been using this every morning (well, until I recently ran out) because it sits beautifully under makeup—almost like a skin-plumping primer. Combined with the HPPY hyaluronic acid serum, it works wonders. My skin has never appeared smoother, calmer, or more radiant.
**Irene Forte Skincare Triple Level Hyaluronic Serum**
After I finished the HPPY serum, I turned to this intensely hydrating option from Italian beauty brand Irene Forte. Again, it’s not cheap, but its skin-quenching effects are worth every penny, in my opinion. It’s challenging to find a highly concentrated HA serum that doesn’t feel overly tacky, but this one offers smooth application without compromising on humectants. My skin truly absorbed it.
**Irene Forte Skincare Hibiscus Night Cream**
Can you tell I’m loyal to brands when it comes to hydrating serums and moisturizers? This was my first product from Irene Forte that I fell in love with, and it instantly became my favorite nighttime essential. It’s packed with skin-smoothing ingredients
