The final of the International Television Competition of Children's Original Songs "Our Generation" will take place in Moscow, featuring participants from 16 countries.

      In Moscow on October 11, 2025, the Live Arena stage will host the International Television Contest of Children’s Original Songs “Our Generation” — one of the largest and most prestigious competitions in the field of children’s musical creativity. Talented vocalists from 16 countries will take part in the final, presenting their original songs and competing for the title of the best young performer at the international level.

      A rich cultural program was organized for children from China, Brazil, South Africa, Uganda, Kenya, the United States, Madagascar, Mongolia, Egypt, Armenia, Belarus, India, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ethiopia and Russia. They have already visited the capital’s main sights: the Kremlin and Red Square, strolled through Zaryadye Park, and seen the majestic Bolshoi Theatre. In addition to sightseeing, the young artists sampled Russian cuisine, tried traditional dishes and took part in a masterclass on making blini. They participated in a press conference and held a draw, which revealed that Tabita Britto from Brazil will open the contest with her performance, and that at number 16 the stage will be taken by a duo of bright singers from China — Iyan Geng and Siwei Liu. The young performers also attended masterclasses with professionals in musical and stage arts and visited a number of other cultural events aimed at strengthening international cultural exchange and friendship.

      From October 9 the young performers began large-scale preparations for the final on the Live Arena stage: rehearsals of creative numbers, work with makeup artists and stylists, and collaboration with the directing and production team. As tradition, the contestants will be supported by star hosts — this year Alsou and Vyacheslav Makarov — and there will be performances by popular Russian artists. Russia will be represented in the final by a creative union of young artists from Moscow — singer Adel Star and the group “Neyroset” with the original song “Oy Ty!”. “The ‘Our Generation’ contest is the strength of unity and a belief in goodness,” the contestants say. “We believe that music can unite people and remind us that life is a celebration. Russia welcomes its guests with love, and the music that will be heard from the stage will unite people just as it unites generations and cultures.”

      This year the contest’s award system has changed: the winner will be determined by the combined results of the professional jury and audience voting, and there will be only one winner. Voting for favorite participants will be possible on the project’s official website, where the voting rules will be posted; voting starts on October 10 at 13:00 (MSK). The final of the “Our Generation” contest will take place on October 11 at 15:00 at the Live Arena.

      The main organizer and founder of the “Our Generation” contest is the Center for Creative Development “Academy of Contemporary Art.” It is held with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives. The contest’s strategic partner is the All‑Russian public‑state movement of children and youth “Movement of the First.” The television partner is the NTV channel. The information partner is Children’s Radio. International media support is provided by TV BRICS. The contest partners are the company Confitrade — a Russian manufacturer of confectionery in the Candy & Toys category — and the company Kalinov Rodnik, which provided the children’s water “Kalinov Rodnichok” for the contestants.

      Recall that the “Our Generation” contest launched in Russia in 2023 under the motto “Music Without Borders” with the aim of revealing the creative potential of children and adolescents aged 9 to 16, and of promoting the exchange of cultural values between participating countries. In its three years of existence it has not only attracted the attention of the professional community and a wide audience, but has also become a worthy alternative to Junior Eurovision, significantly surpassing it in terms of organization and the quality of contestant preparation. An important participation requirement in “Our Generation” is a live performance of a new composition written by the participant themselves, or one in which they have taken an active part in its creation.
