These Parisian street style outfits have become the focal point of my summer mood board.
Indeed, the primary purpose of fashion week is for top designers globally to unveil their latest collections, but the impact of attendees at these shows should not be overlooked. Street style has evolved into a significant industry by itself, with brands investing heavily to feature their garments on influential figures, including editors, content creators, and celebrities. Currently, there is as much focus on the fashion seen outside the shows as there is on the collections introduced during the events, and Paris stands out as the pinnacle of elite street style—especially during Haute Couture Week.
The recent, brief week of couture events in the City of Lights has concluded, featuring renowned couture houses such as Schiaparelli, Iris van Herpen, Maison Margiela, and Balenciaga all presenting their fall 2025 creations. Glenn Martens unveiled his inaugural collection for Margiela, while Demna said goodbye to Balenciaga. With plenty to celebrate and reflect upon, attendees dressed in their finest attire.
As a devoted fan of couture week street style, I found myself saving numerous looks for my summer inspiration board; from Dua Lipa's keyhole sequin gown to Gabriella Karefa-Johnson's zebra-print coat, both of which I observed outside Daniel Roseberry's masterclass Schiaparelli showcase. Below, discover the ensembles I chose to remember for future reference, worn by committed attendees who went above and beyond for this season's shows—fashion enthusiasts whose personal style consistently shines and models who effortlessly make dressing look cool.
**Dedicated Attendees**
Celebrities, high-profile clients, and leading influencers are frequently hosted by brands, resulting in them sporting looks designed by the exhibiting designer. For couture week, this often means guests are donned in couture outfits. In essence, they aren’t in casual shoes and jeans; rather, they’re adorned in hand-beaded and hand-sewn masterpieces, which is evident in the street style photographs.
Dua Lipa always captures the essence of fashion, whether she’s performing, celebrating at an outdoor festival, relaxing by the beach, or attending top fashion events in Paris during couture week. She simply understands the assignment.
Cardi B is another committed fashion figure, with her most striking looks emerging from major events, including the Met Gala and couture week. This sculpted creation is an ideal representation for an artist known for her shocking and awe-inspiring appearances on the red carpet or after runway shows.
This sheer red gown is perfection in my eyes, especially when complemented by gold accessories and toe-capped black mules. It's flawless.
The sculpted, strapless gown worn by Hunter Schafer is museum-worthy. I’m not sure how she managed to sit in it, but when you look that stunning, who needs to?
**The Fashion-Person Special**
From coordinated ensembles to casual jeans outfits, you can always rely on true fashion aficionados to showcase the finest looks during fashion week. These outfits often resonate with me the most because they genuinely reflect each individual's unique style.
Recreate this look by combining a simple white tee with a standout skirt.
Fashion can definitely be casual, as demonstrated by this jeans-and-tee combination that the wearer elevated with Alaïa flats, sunglasses, and a stylish handbag.
From the zebra-print coat to the Le Teckel bag, every aspect of this ensemble, including the informal choice of denim, is a solid 10.
Lauren Santo Domingo consistently looks chic, and couture week was no exception. This outfit exemplifies how to incorporate patterns and colors while still appearing elegant and understated.
The Chanel show-day ensembles I tend to save most frequently are those showcasing jeans, as they highlight the versatility of the house’s iconic tweed toppers.
**Model on Duty**
When our team attends shows during fashion week, there's a reason we often linger afterwards to see what models who just walked are wearing in between assignments. In line with their perfectly styled makeup and hair, they typically don something incredibly casual and laid-back—usually jeans, sneakers or flats, paired with a stylish jacket or coat, often alongside a simple T-shirt and a designer tote.
No one embodies modern off-duty style quite like supermodel Mona Tougaard, who opted for a suede bomber jacket, a T-shirt, and white jeans post-Chanel show.
White top? Check! Jeans? Check! Flats? Check! These are classic model-off-duty looks at their finest.
A white T-shirt and relaxed jeans serve as tell-tale signs if you’re trying to distinguish whether someone outside of a fashion show is a model or an attendee. A vintage jacket, like a trench coat, is another indicator.
You can always identify models by their hair and makeup combined with a laid-back, functional outfit. Here, casual jorts and a Patou tank top are complemented by detailed facial makeup.
