6 Fashion Editors, 36 Summer Purchases—A Look Inside Our Summer 2025 Mood Boards

As fashion editors and style enthusiasts, our engagement with these platforms is anything but casual. We are constantly immersed in the cultural landscape to shape our content, and given the vastness of the internet, each editor on our team possesses a unique perspective on what influences their everyday style and contributes to their seasonal shopping lists. For instance, while one editor is capturing images from the latest Celine runway to recreate preppy looks, another might be collecting photos of Italian tennis player Lorenzo Musetti as he walks onto the Wimbledon court or observing the stylish outfits of weekenders on a train to the Hamptons. In essence, style inspiration can emerge from countless sources. Therefore, I asked the fashion editors at Who What Wear to share their summer mood boards, along with insights about the direction their style is taking this season.       For my summer mood, the three words guiding me are "crafty," "free-spirited," and "antique." The look I’m aiming for? I want to appear as if I've carefully curated my wardrobe by exclusively shopping at estate sales and engaging in intense eBay bidding battles. Essentially, I want my style to reflect a sense of taste based on a life well-lived: enjoying films, appreciating art, reading books, and maybe rummaging through my grandmother's closet. Combine that with the carefree energy of just arriving at a hidden Mediterranean island, and that’s my vision. I’m focusing on elegant staple pieces that can serve as a clean backdrop for artisanal accessories. One standout item I’m basing much of my recent outfits around is Alaïa's viral genie pants, which exude a modern boho vibe. I’ve paired a similar bubble-hem style I found at Zara with oversized resin bangles and vintage scarves, using them as belts or draping them around my neck and shoulders.

I haven’t been so taken with a single outerwear piece at the All England Club since Roger Federer’s 2008 cable-knit cardigan. Fashion insiders were buzzing about Bottega Veneta's new creative director, Louise Trotter, and Musetti's appointment as brand ambassador brought in tennis fans too. Another current style inspiration is Sabrina Carpenter, who took a birthday selfie in her hotel room at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California, which I was fortunate to visit recently. A 1992 cover featuring Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington caught my eye due to its impeccable nautical aesthetic that I want to embody this summer."

      "This summer, I see it as a chance to reintroduce glamour after a period of minimalism. I’m gravitating towards a wardrobe that embodies a modern interpretation of '60s elegance with bold silhouettes, iconic prints, and a polished finish. Picture leopard coats, houndstooth ensembles, and little white dresses that feel cinematic. Jewelry is also taking center stage for me; I’m attracted to bold beads, timeless pieces like tennis necklaces, and vintage-inspired stones that resemble treasures from a grandmother’s collection (in the best possible way). My goal is to have my outfits ignite conversations and tell a story."
