I'm a Fashion Editor who has recently purchased more beauty products than clothing—here are 19 of them that I don't regret at all.
Although I might not be a professional beauty editor, my passion for beauty products runs quite deep, making it increasingly hard for me to resist the latest launches. As a fashion editor, it’s no surprise that I love shopping for clothes, shoes, and accessories. However, I’ve shifted my focus from buying summer outfits over the past month while waiting for fall collections, and I’m much more engaged in discovering the newest beauty products released in the market. (True story: I check the Just Dropped section on Sephora every day.) Out of all the beauty products I’ve tested this summer (and there are quite a few), about 20 have become essentials that I can't imagine living without. I even added a couple of new makeup bags to my collection and cleared space in my medicine cabinet just for them. Some of my favorites include the new Rare Beauty lip gloss, the creamy Summer Fridays blush and brush, the much-talked-about Fara Homidi bronzer, and several others. Keep reading to see why I believe my new favorite beauty items are worth purchasing, and feel free to shop for yourself.
**ILIA Soft Focus Blurring Blush**
I’m a huge fan of blushes. Whenever a brand I love launches a new blush formula, you can count on me to be among the first to try it. The latest powder blush that caught my eye is Ilia's Soft Focus Blurring Blush. (The name alone got me.) It genuinely melts into your skin, which is something I can’t say about most powder blushes. I particularly like the shades Breathless and Wonder, but all the shades are gorgeous and easy to wear.
**Dieux Mini Air Angel Collagen & Peptide Hydrating Gel Cream**
I get particularly excited when one of my favorite products is released in a compact, travel-friendly size. Dieux Air Angel is my top moisturizer for all seasons—lightweight yet noticeably hydrating, and it works well with other skincare products and makeup. It provides a blurred finish that is just shy of matte. (Also, don’t overlook the new mini Instant Angel, which I’ll be bringing for all my upcoming cold-weather trips.)
**Fara Homidi Essential Bronzer Compact**
Bronzer has never been a staple in my routine, but I couldn't ignore the buzz about this one. Once I tried it, I was amazed by how easily it blended into my skin and how natural it appeared. Since I have fair skin, I chose the shade Bois, which surprisingly is more neutral than warm—a rare find in bronzers. The brush is fantastic as well, enabling targeted or overall bronzing.
**rhode Pocket Blush Tan Line**
If you were to ask how many shades of Rhode Pocket Blush I have, the answer would be too many! Yet, I still ordered the new Tan Line shade without hesitation. It’s the perfect rosy summertime hue, even more stunning when paired with the bronzer mentioned earlier. (Note: I call it a summer color, but I plan to wear it year-round for that sun-kissed look.)
**Crown Affair The Volumizing Shampoo & Conditioner Duo for Oily, Flat Hair**
Although I wouldn’t exactly describe my hair as oily, it has felt a bit flat and thin this summer, and my usual hydrating shampoos and conditioners haven't helped. I had heard great things about Crown Affair's volumizing duo, and I can now confirm its effectiveness. It gives my hair bounce, lightness, and an airy feel—exactly what I’ve been seeking.
**Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Positive Light Luminizing Lip Gloss**
I thought I had outgrown sparkly lip glosses, but Rare Beauty’s Positive Light gloss genuinely impressed me. The shimmer is subtle and beautiful, without clumpy glitter. I first ordered the shade Glimmer, then went back for Dazzle (yes, the blue one) because it wowed me.
**CYKLAR Naked Neroli Perfume Oil**
Naked Neroli was my first encounter with those Cyklar perfume oils that everyone talks about, and now I understand the hype. It’s a lovely, fresh scent for summer that’s softly floral and suitable for any occasion, day or night. I love that it’s portable for reapplications throughout the day, and I’m already planning which fragrances I’ll try next.
**Summer Fridays Blush Butter Balm Hydrating Cream Blush With Peptides**
Yes, another blush! This one is the newest Summer Fridays cream blush, and it truly is as buttery as its name suggests. I initially thought it wouldn’t be long-lasting—especially in the heat—but I was wrong. It wears beautifully all day, and I particularly enjoy layering it over more matte blushes to introduce a bit of dewiness. I’ve been using Sweet Rosé and Toasted Terracotta, with Berry Spritz on the way. By the way, the brush is
