      I'm looking for some fresh fall outfit ideas to pair with jeans, as the cooler weather is approaching in NYC. Recently, I've been stuck on which colors to combine, but Katie Holmes reminded me to return to basics with her outfit featuring jeans in NYC this week. Holmes donned an ensemble filled with primary colors that came off as very stylish rather than childish. The oversized butter-yellow button-down over her two-toned Levi’s jeans created a chic look, and then I noticed her cherry-red handbag and flats, which matched perfectly. This instantly inspired me to try a primary-color outfit. While it may seem unusual for fall, typically associated with muted tones, this unexpected combination shows that bright colors can work well for the season.
