While boots, loafers, and other closed-toe shoes may dominate your wardrobe, when you do free your feet (maybe with a fashionable peep-toe), a seasonal nail color instantly elevates your look. Fall nail polish shades exude elegance; nothing compares to a layer of black cherry, charcoal gray, or chocolate brown to add a luxurious flair to any outfit. However, pedicure options differ slightly as they are often a bit bolder. Many beauty enthusiasts (myself included) usually choose a classic neutral for their fingernails but feel more adventurous with toe polish. Think rich browns, deep blues, and striking reds. I’m excited to try these colors, so I consulted experts about the leading pedicure color trends for fall 2025. Here are the 10 shades I’ve shortlisted for my next appointment.

      **Deep Wine**

      “Fall nail colors usually reflect the rich browns and mid-toned reds of fallen leaves,” says L.A. manicurist Bana Jarjour. “This year, we’re seeing these hues in their darkest versions." For instance, this deep bordeaux from celebrity nail artist Iram Shelton is already trending among the fashion crowd.

      **Espresso Brown**

      As Jarjour noted, rich browns are set to dominate fall pedicures (and makeup looks, if you're interested!). Opt for a deep espresso, like the one created by London-based pedicurist Milly Mason, who made it even more stylish with a glossy finish.

      **Inky Navy**

      Nail artist Evelyn Lim, chief educator at MiniLuxe’s Paintbox studio, predicts that inky navy will be very popular this fall. Picture midnight blues so dark they could be mistaken for black. This classic hue is gaining attention in fashion—from sweaters to dresses—making it a natural choice for toe polish as well.

      **Burnished Metallics**

      Lim also highlights that burnished metallics are trending. You can choose either a bronze or gunmetal polish, like Mason did, or simply add a shimmering chrome topcoat to your preferred neutral base. “Shimmery neutrals inspired by seasonal drinks are trending now,” Lim points out, mentioning “espresso martini” and “oat milk latte” as favorites.

      **Smoky Rose**

      Not keen on gold nails? No worries. You can apply a shimmery topcoat over your favorite blush polish for what Lim refers to as a "smoky rose" pedicure, which offers a softer, more layered appearance compared to flat neutrals.

      **Jet Black**

      "I’ve noticed a resurgence of black polish," Jarjour states. "While there are consistent fans year-round, the shade isn't a go-to for everyone." For those who have hesitated to try onyx in the past, now is an ideal opportunity to embrace black polish.

      **Evergreen**

      Picture a dark forest green as a complement to burgundy. Similar to deep reds, an evergreen polish lets you experiment with color while maintaining a subtle look. If you're tired of neutrals, I (along with Lim) highly recommend a glossy green, especially as we await the premiere of *Wicked: For Good*.

      **Moss Green**

      If you prefer a subdued shade of green, mossy polish will fit the bill. It captures that earthy, warm-autumn vibe you might be longing for, achieving a minimal and elegant style.

      **Gray-Toned Lilac**

      According to Lim, muted lilac-grays are "enjoying a quiet moment." While you may associate creamy periwinkle with spring and summer, its cooler undertones make it a suitable choice for fall. Ensure to select a polish with gray tones so it doesn’t appear too purple.

      **Barely There French**

      Both Lim and Jarjour agree that baby-French pedicures are on the rise. "Runways are showcasing a thinner, barely there French tip, which I think will be popular as the weather cools," Jarjour adds. Beauty trends often emerge during fashion month, and I can't think of a chicer option than a '90s micro-French pedicure, so this will definitely be a look I’ll replicate all season.
