We are confident that there's nothing more stylish this winter than this surprising bag-and-boot pairing.
Lily Allen's "West End Girl" has achieved triple platinum status in my home, and it seems her latest outfit is on track to do the same. While out in London, Allen was seen in a straightforward long black duster coat, tall black boots with a small chunky heel, and a light green shoulder bag. The ensemble is simple, but the accessories elevate it. A plain black bag would have felt too redundant, while delicate shoes would have seemed overly formal. This outfit, with a pop of green and the perfect winter boots, radiates the same effortlessly cool vibe she embodies.
(Image credit: Backgrid) Green bags have subtly been trending for a while now, and Allen's outfit demonstrates why this bag color is perfect for winter. It complements the cold without feeling out of place and looks fantastic against the neutral tones, like black or gray, that we often gravitate towards when temperatures drop. Additionally, tall black boots with minimal heels remain a classic winter staple due to their versatility and ability to instantly add edge to any outfit. Unfortunately, I’ve found myself stuck in a styling rut with black boots, frequently reaching for the same items. However, from now on, I plan to pair mine with a light green bag, inspired by Lily Allen. Here’s how you can shop the look:
