As a beauty editor responsible for evaluating countless skincare, makeup, and haircare products each year, I set aside time for an annual spring cleaning in either March or April. Parfums de Marly Athénaïs Eau de Parfum
I’m not alone in my enthusiasm for Parfums de Marly’s latest fragrance; the entire Who What Wear beauty team seems to be wearing it as much as I am. Inspired by Athénaïs de Montespan, a significant French noblewoman and mistress of King Louis XIV, this scent embodies “fearless femininity.” It’s both sparkling and refined, featuring notes of neroli, bergamot, jasmine, orange blossom, tonka bean, and vanilla. My colleague, Jamie Schneider, Who What Wear’s senior beauty editor, shares, “I’m a longtime fan of Parfums de Marly Delina, but I’m officially declaring the brand’s newest launch my new favorite. (This is significant, as nothing has surpassed my beloved Delina since its 2017 launch.) … While Delina has playful lychee and rhubarb notes, Athénaïs feels more sophisticated with jasmine and orange blossom.
