All-Russian Award "We Firmly Believe in Sports Heroes"

      Starting from June 1, 2026, the IV All-Russian Award "We Firmly Believe in the Heroes of Sports" will launch — a large-scale project that unites outstanding figures in sports and culture. It aims to preserve the national sports heritage, popularize sports achievements, and strengthen patriotism in Russia. The project is organized by LLC "Culture" with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.

      In 2026, the award "We Firmly Believe in the Heroes of Sports" will be implemented as part of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and will reflect the national development vector aimed at strengthening interethnic harmony. The organizers of the award note that sports achievements are a common asset that unites people regardless of region and ethnic background. The integration of cultural traditions with sports achievements fosters respect for the history and rich diversity of the peoples of our country.

      The award is held in 5 traditional nominations: "Song," "Poetry," "Painting," "Sculpture," "Art Photography" for participants of older age, and in 2 additional nominations: "Children's Drawing" and "Prose" for participants aged 6 to 17, allowing each participant to express their love for sports in a language they understand — the language of art. Both professionals in their field aged 18 and older and schoolchildren from all regions of Russia are invited to participate, highlighting the inclusiveness and scale of the project. Applications can be submitted until September 14, 2026, on the official project website.

      All creative works will be reviewed by a professional jury chaired by the Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation Irina Alexandrovna Viner. The final gala concert and award ceremony for the laureates will take place on October 11, 2026, at the Irina Viner Gymnastics Palace in Moscow, where the winners will have the opportunity to perform on the same stage with legendary artists and athletes. A bright festive show with a rich cultural program is being prepared for participants and guests, showcasing the connection of traditions, talents, and achievements. That evening, recognized masters and young talents will gather on stage to create an atmosphere of a true celebration of sports and art, emphasize the importance of the unity of the peoples of Russia, and inspire a new generation for further accomplishments.
