      Certain elements are synonymous with summer: light linen, a raffia tote, and enjoying time in a pub garden. This iconic British tradition of after-work or weekend drinks in the evening sun almost feels like a rite of passage. If you're unfamiliar with the UK, you might liken it to the French and their bistros; the two often go hand in hand. I personally believe there’s nothing like enjoying a British summer day with a drink (whether it’s a frothy pint, a chilled glass of rosé, or something non-alcoholic). However, if you're going to a place that has no strict dress code, choosing the right outfit can be a bit challenging.

      Different pubs have their own unwritten rules. You wouldn’t want to wear sweatpants to a more upscale venue on a busy Thursday evening, while your favorite flowy maxi dress might feel overly formal at a laid-back local pub. That said, it is definitely possible to wear either (I've practically donned everything except a wedding dress at the pub nearby); you'll likely feel more comfortable with a few easy adjustments to match the atmosphere.

      Having observed what some of the most stylish individuals in my feed are wearing to pubs this summer, seven standout outfits emerged. Ranging from vibrant red linen trousers paired with black leather flip-flops, to airy lace-trim sets, any of these looks will work well at the pub and beyond this summer.
