Paige Lorenze Shares Her Thoughts on the Famous $25 Lipstick She Always Has on Hand and Her Top Wedding Opinion.
(Image credit: Clinique) Paige Lorenze has exceptional taste. As the founder and creative director of Dairy Boy, as well as a content creator with a collective following of over two million on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, she has developed an impressive personal brand centered on individuality, authenticity, and chic fashion and beauty selections. Her idyllic New England lifestyle certainly adds to her appeal.
If you've followed her YouTube vlogs as long as I have, you’re likely familiar with her GRWM videos. She often does her makeup while engaging with the camera, whether it’s before a significant brand meeting or when cheering for her fiancé, professional tennis player Tommy Paul, at a Grand Slam match. Because of her great taste, I find myself taking notes on the exact products she uses and her application techniques.
Among the makeup items that Lorenze frequently uses, Clinique's iconic Almost Lipstick ($25) in Black Honey stands out. This shape-shifting raisin shade has been a staple since 1971 (yes, that’s an impressive 55-year history), which is what allows it to cross generational boundaries. A quick scroll through TikTok illustrates that it's just as cherished by baby boomers as it is by Gen Z. Lorenze has been a long-time fan; her introduction to it came from her mother years ago.
Fast forward to 2026, and she's now the face of Clinique's new Black Honey campaign, The Difference Is You, which celebrates the product's lasting popularity along with Lorenze’s personal taste and genuine affection for it. Ahead, I discuss beauty with Lorenze, including her quick five-minute makeup routine, how she maintains confidence in the public eye, and what’s in store for her eagerly awaited wedding.
Clinique's Almost Lipstick in Black Honey
Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey
You've been a long-time, genuine fan of Clinique's Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. It's an iconic product and collection. What do you love about it, and why do you keep returning to it after trying numerous beauty products over the years? I’m thrilled you follow me organically, and I’m sure you’ve seen me use it frequently. It’s always been a staple in my collection, so being part of this campaign is a dream come true. I originally borrowed it from my mom, who is very much into the "no-makeup makeup" aesthetic, while I tend to wear slightly more. I realized, “This product is fantastic, whether you’re opting for a no-look or a full face.” It was a playful entry into makeup because it’s hydrating and balmy yet offers color that’s buildable. Now, I carry one in my car, one in my purse, and another in my makeup bag. Even on makeup-free days, I apply it for a fresh, healthy look. And if I want that ideal dark-purplish lip shade—which aligns with my natural lip color—I can layer it with a lip liner. It's incredibly versatile and can be used in various ways. I often say that Almost Lipstick in Black Honey is among the most adaptable makeup products. Plus, moms always give the best beauty recommendations; they know the best, simplest products.
Exactly, 100%. Let’s say you're pressed for time. You woke up late and have to leave the house in five minutes or less. How do you use Almost Lipstick in Black Honey for a quick makeup look? I believe that doing your brows, spritzing on a nice facial mist, and applying Almost Lipstick in Black Honey on your cheeks and lips is sufficient. If my brows are neatly brushed, my skin looks fresh, and I’ve got Black Honey on, I feel ready to go.
Do you have a favorite brow gel or facial mist at the moment? I tend to use a variety of face mists, but I’ve been a fan of Clinique's Moisture Surge ($33) for years. It’s excellent, and it’s great that it’s available in many airports worldwide. I often pick up Moisture Surge while traveling, given that there’s usually a Clinique at TSA. I've also been using a brow oil designed for growth and thickness that I got from my local lash and brow place, and it’s helped give my brows a healthy look. Some people even use Vaseline or castor oil for this.
Those are all solid options. A brow serum is a fantastic hack, making brows look good while also promoting growth. Clinique's Almost Lipstick in Black Honey boasts an impressive 55-year history. What about it feels timeless to you? The packaging itself feels classic to me. I appreciate Clinique’s graphic identity and how the brand has remained authentic to itself. I also admire that it’s science-driven and research-backed. Clinique products are trusted and well-loved, universally recognized for their long-standing presence in the market.
It also feels timeless to me because
