      If you’ve been observing the runways, you'll know that the check print trend is poised to take over this autumn and beyond. So, when I saw Elsa Hosk embracing the trend early on, I was instantly intrigued. Even more so when I discovered that her shirt wasn’t a recent runway item or an archival piece. Instead, her semi-sheer oversized shirt is from high-street favorite Mango. Priced at a reasonable £36, Mango's Textured Checked Shirt comes in this season's popular cornflower blue and features an oversized silhouette, textured detail, and sought-after checked pattern.

      Paired with just a leather belt worn low on her hips, Elsa demonstrated that this oversized shirt could be the sole item necessary for your autumn wardrobe. However, if you prefer to layer it up slightly, the shirt trend looks equally stylish over a white t-shirt or tank paired with jeans, or worn over a slip dress as we transition out of the final weeks of summer.
