More than a park: Island of Dreams will become a global entertainment industry operator.

Ideological and financial results of the first five years and plans for the future

The Island of Dreams, which is one of the most popular and significant tourist attractions in the capital, continues to actively develop and attract the attention of viewers from other cities and countries.

Since its opening, the park has come an incredible way. In 5 years of operation, the Island of Dreams has become a real center of attraction for Moscow, providing more than 1% of the total gross domestic product of tourism in the capital.  During this time, the Island of Dreams entertainment cluster has brought about 60 billion rubles to the Moscow economy. In 2024, more than 11.1 million guests visited Moscow, and every third tourist in the family category does not miss the opportunity to visit the "Island of Dreams".

Over the course of 5 years, the park has prepared 40,000 show programs for guests and attracted almost 19.6 million visitors. Compared to 2020, the number of guests has increased 6-fold. In addition, the Island of Dreams has significantly invested in the development of the territory — in recent years, the area of the indoor park has grown by 50%, and the number of attractions has increased by 81%. In total, tourists have ridden the rides about 120 million times.

In the future, the Island of Dreams plans to take an even more significant position in the global market: with the advent of a new open area, it will be able to enter the TOP 10 largest parks in the world. But the ambitions of the entertainment cluster extend to the Russian arena as well.

The company is actively working on the construction and implementation of a new 260 thousand square meter outdoor park (scheduled to open next summer), two concert halls with a combined capacity of more than 16 thousand people.

"I have always said that the advantage of our business is a strong management company. The team not only supports and develops the Island of Dreams, but also regularly broadcasts its expertise on the Russian entertainment market. Therefore, this year we decided to transform the relevant departments into independent business structures, which will be part of the new Island of Dreams holding company of the same name," comments Amiran Mutsoev, Chairman of the Board of the Island of Dreams holding company.

Dream Island HC will become a global entertainment industry operator operating in 9 areas: concert venue management (Dream Hall), IT segment (Dream Soft), branded product sales (Dream Store), animation studio of its own shows (Dream Show), Dream Beach Club beach complex, Experiment Island, educational andentertainment centers, the multimedia aquarium management company, and the amusement park management company itself.

Amiran Mutsoev also noted that large-scale plans for the development of the Island of Dreams require significant investments and investments. The business considers entering the securities market as one of the possible ways to attract investments.

Currently, the Island of Dreams is the largest park in Russia and Europe and one of the largest in the world. The location features 10 themed zones, 49 attractions, a Dream Game Center with an area of 17,000 square meters, a concert hall with 4,500 seats, a summer open-air cinema with 168 seats, the country's largest urban beach club, Dream Beach Club with an area of 41,000 square meters, as well as a 44-hectare landscape park.

"We are always striving to expand and improve our park, increasing the number of attractions, while always paying attention to safety. Each project is carefully worked out by responsible departments, and even if difficult decisions have to be made and some entertainment elements have to be abandoned for the sake of safety, we always do it consciously and with maximum responsibility. We are confident that our attractions and shows, featuring high quality and innovative solutions, will continue to delight our guests. We are ready to implement even the most ambitious ideas and are confident that we will be able to implement them on time," comments Boris Pishik, CEO of the Island of Dreams holding company.

With the development of the park and the addition of new attractions, the problem of space limitations inevitably arises. In this regard, the company decided to expand the "Dream Race" theme area in order to install a new attraction in it. The length of the new roller coaster will be 300 meters, height — 14 meters, and speed — 50 km/h. The new attraction will feature a train with 10 sections of cars that can accommodate 2 people each.

"Designing every attraction starts with an idea. We collect guest feedback and follow current trends in the entertainment world. After the park opened, we added five to six attractions annually. If you see an attraction that appeared in the park, for example, in 2025, then we started developing it three to five years before that. This is a hard technical job, in which there are no unimportant details. For example, installing a new attraction in the Dream Race indoor theme area will require significant effort and solving many technical problems. This is because we are talking about a complex project, similar to the installation of a 20-truck construction kit in an operating fleet that welcomes guests daily. Nevertheless, we plan to complete the installation and preparation of the facility for the summer season," explained Mikhail Kondratiev, CEO of Regions Entertainment JSC.

The largest interactive aquarium in Europe, which is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2026, is at the design stage in the city's promenade area. The development of the project will take about five to six months, and the construction will take about one year. Unlike other oceanariums that showcase living creatures, this facility will use virtual content broadcast through projectors. This approach allows you to create an interaction with the oceanic theme without the need to keep live animals and fish.

At Dream Island, the show department is actively developing its own entertainment content. Over the past 5 years, the department has written 3 original fairy tales, developed 44 characters, and created 7 Dream Park mascots. There are currently 27 shows in the park. Some of them are the immersive show attraction "Beyond the Circus", the show attraction "Abandoned House", the holographic shows "Mowgli in the Land of Dinosaurs", the puppet theater "Golden Key", as well as thematic performances "Hello Kitty" and "Ninjutsu School".

"We are going to enter the field of musicals. It's time to do something new in The Island of Dreams. We will make a musical about the Snow Queen by the end of 2025. It will be very interesting for us to go where we haven't experimented yet," said Dmitry Ragozin, director of the show program department at the Island of Dreams holding company.

In the future, the company plans to create several more exciting projects that will develop existing programs and attract visitors. One of these projects will be the musical performance "The Snow Queen", which will last 40 minutes and will invite viewers to see a familiar story from a new, non-standard point of view. Also, as part of the cultural program, a new play "Puss in Boots" will be presented at the Golden Key Theater. A unique element will be the change in the plot in the play "Pinocchio": it will alternate with the performance "Puss in Boots", creating a connected cycle where one performance will be a continuation of the other. Also, after the opening in 2026, daily hero parades will be held in the newly opened park.

"The Island of Dreams has absolutely everything. It's a city within a city. Of course, the attractions are the flagship. But what if you don't like them? Then you can go to the cinema or cafe, go for a swim. There is any option for your needs. We are talking to the target audience: You need to see this with your own eyes. Not a single photo or video will give you those emotions," said Ekaterina Loshkareva, Deputy General Director for Marketing Communications at the Island of Dreams holding company.
