However, during the past two fashion months, I've noticed how belts have taken on a more adventurous flair. People aren’t just using them to hold up their pants; they’re almost wearing them as pants themselves. Seriously. At brands like Hodakova, dresses, tops, and pants were entirely constructed from belts. Music festival attendees began to create the look by layering multiple belts at once. In September, Miu Miu showcased models adorned with chain belts layered like necklaces. This past February, Schiaparelli featured models with several chunky belts cinched around their waists, reminiscent of a corset design. Last weekend at Coachella, Jennie took the stage in a red crocodile-embossed crop top paired with tiny micro shorts, complemented by three large buckled belts that nearly concealed them completely.

      The style appears to be making its way into mainstream fashion after dominating the runways, and it won’t be long before we spot them across the streets of Paris and New York—and definitely at Coachella's second weekend.
