For the summer season, Santo Domingo has played a key role in shaping the fashion set’s wardrobe with the introduction of the Club Moda Riviera capsule collection, inspired by the enchanting allure of Mediterranean summers. "To me, it's all about nonchalant glamour infused with nostalgia and a hint of hedonism," she tells Who What Wear. "Imagine what people would wear if Slim Aarons were photographing today." Much of contemporary fashion draws inspiration from the past, particularly the vacation attire of travel’s golden age. "We envision a fabulous sequin skirt, usually meant for the evening, paired with a simple cotton tank top with a bikini top visible, tousled beach hair, a tan (real or faux, your choice), and a flip-flop," she explains.
Collaborating with her network of talented designers, Santo Domingo worked with various brands to give a modern twist to nostalgic styles. "We've partnered with our favorite designers to curate iconic motifs reminiscent of summers spent exploring the Mediterranean (and the fantasy of endless vacation days). Expect gingham, capri styles, headscarves, cuff bracelets, eyelet fabric, and striking graphic prints that evoke vintage glamour while feeling fresh and current," she describes.
