It's easy to see why celebrities and their stylists prioritize red carpet attire over after-party outfits. During a glitzy movie premiere, numerous photographers and reporters line the red carpet, ensuring substantial media coverage. In contrast, after-parties often attract far less attention and may not receive any media spotlight at all. Despite this, I sometimes find after-parties more interesting to cover, as the relaxed atmosphere can lead to more memorable fashion moments, as seen today. At the premiere of her upcoming film, Another Simple Favor, Blake Lively donned a stunning mint-colored gown by Tamara Ralph. While that was a striking choice, I preferred her after-party outfit even more. After the event, she changed into a butter-yellow T-shirt paired with a matching satin skirt. Her outfit not only embraced a major summer color trend—recall Timothée Chalamet's butter yellow at the Oscars?—but also struck an ideal balance between luxurious and casual.
