Emma Watson's airport attire includes a security-friendly shoe but is paired with a rather impractical skirt for flying.
There are some celebrities who seem to be all over the place. Not in real life, of course (unless you happen to live in the same area), but some are indeed more prominent than others. This often depends on the projects they choose—certain ones necessitate more extensive promotional tours, making it feel like we see them constantly both on the big screen and TV. Emma Watson, however, does not fit this category. Frequently opting for quieter projects or redirecting her focus to other interests, she’s not someone we encounter very often. It's unfortunate because whenever she does appear, she consistently impresses with her style. Her recent arrival at Cannes Mandelieu Airport was no exception.
Arriving in town for the renowned Cannes Film Festival, Watson exuded Hollywood glamour with her outfit choice. However, as I took in her look, I realized that this was probably what she wore for travel, which only heightened my admiration.
Let's break down her outfit from the bottom up, shall we? Steering clear of high heels, which can be a challenge to navigate on an airplane, the actress chose an elegant pair of ballet flats—stylish yet practical, especially since you don’t need to remove them at security.
Next up is her skirt. Not jeans or leggings, but a skirt—specifically, a lace one! While it was lovely and the A-line shape allowed for much more movement than a traditional lace pencil skirt, my cautious side couldn’t help but kick in. Surely the open-weave design of this skirt could catch on those awkward armrests? Or could the zipper on your bag snag it as you put it in the overhead bin? Plus, it's white, which is a daring choice when you’re at risk of spilling red wine or orange juice, especially with the chance of unexpected turbulence.
Nonetheless, this didn’t detract from how stylish she appeared. She completed her ensemble with a charming bouclé cardigan and trendy sunglasses—you'll never go wrong with Ray-Ban Wayfarers! Watson has certainly inspired me to deviate from my usual leggings-and-sneakers look for my next summer travel outfit.
