Set within the beautifully eclectic private dining room adorned with coral-red lacquer woodwork, charming frescoes, extravagant chandeliers, and our own bar serving the refreshing Strawberry Spritz cocktail from Sipsmith, we brought together an exclusive guest list of leading beauty figures, some of London’s trendiest talents, and our editorial team. "It was an honor to celebrate our first beauty issue with some of the industry's most respected experts and personalities," says beauty director Shannon Lawlor. "We spent the entire evening discussing everything from skincare and fragrance to hair and makeup, bringing the joy of our beauty issue to life over delightful food and drinks in the most stunning surroundings. Hosting this event marked a significant milestone for Who What Wear UK." With our subtle glam looks styled by Bobbi Brown's professional makeup artist Hollie Olivia Burke, the soft colors of our outfits, makeup, and the setting beautifully mirrored the pastel tones of our cover shoot featuring Leomie Anderson. The gorgeous interiors of Mimi Meifair (Image credit: Kirstin Sinclair) After our large glasses were filled with Penfolds wine, we enjoyed dim sum platters (the scallop siu mai was exceptional) while discussing the surprising amount of sunscreen necessary for proper protection (a full three fingers' worth for just the face!) and learned that the British Beauty Council is advocating for the government to eliminate taxes on SPF products—absolutely right, and we wish them success in this endeavor. For the main course, we relished a delectable clay-pot black-bean aubergine dish and sanpei chicken accompanied by a generous serving of jasmine rice, capping off the meal with a light vegan coconut-mango sundae. Absolutely delicious! Katharine Mackenzie Patterson, Shannon Lawlor, and Julia Diogo (Image credit: Kirstin Sinclair)
