Clearly, it was no longer the sandal-friendly weather we had gotten used to, yet it still felt too warm and stuffy for full-coverage shoes, leaving me unsure of what to wear. Then, I came across Dakota Johnson, who had serendipitously stepped out in stylish sandals that serve as a perfect alternative for a slightly gloomy forecast.

      Opting for closed-toe styles instead of something more airy, I noticed Johnson sporting a pair of chocolate brown, square-toe flat slingbacks, paired with a calf-length midi skirt, a delicate white lace top, and Gucci's Giglio Large Tote Bag (£1600) during an outing in New York this week.
