This French Body Sculpting Kit is so effective that it continually sells out—here's my candid review.

I’m an editor who is passionate about body care, collecting products like washes, serums, lotions, and oils much like Carrie Bradshaw collects shoes. While my routine isn’t flawless, it is quite comprehensive. After my showers, I apply a wonderfully moisturizing mix of body lotion and oil. I also perform a deep exfoliation ritual once a week and ensure to slather on sunscreen whenever my skin is exposed to sunlight. In short, I strive to care for my body’s skin with the same tender love and care that I provide for my face. Recently, I learned about a popular body-sculpting kit created by a massage therapist that incorporates French beauty and wellness principles. This kit has been consistently selling out at major retailers such as Sephora and Credo Beauty. My curiosity was sparked and I decided I needed to try it for myself. After testing it for a couple of months to discover whether the hype was justified, I’m sharing my honest review.

      The Biotyspa Body Sculpt Kit

Here it is—the Biotyspa Body Sculpt Kit. It has already sold out several times at Credo Beauty and Sephora, but thankfully, it’s currently back in stock (at least for now). The kit includes the Body Sculpt Cup, a white rubbery tool, along with a Hydrating Shower Gel and a Firming Body Oil. Designed by massage therapist Deborah Levy, the kit aims to replicate lymphatic drainage massages in the comfort of your own home. The name Biotyspa merges "bio" (meaning "organic" in French), "beauty," and "spa," suggesting it brings an opulent and effective spa-quality body treatment right to your bathroom. The system is built on French beauty and wellness knowledge.

The Body Sculpt Cup creates suction against the skin. When moved in upward circular motions, it enhances lymphatic drainage and visibly lifts, sculpts, and contours the body. But before diving deeper, let’s quickly review the advantages of lymphatic drainage and why it matters.

What Is Lymphatic Drainage, and Why Should We Care?

I’m already familiar with lymphatic drainage since I try to book a lymphatic drainage massage each month. I’ve noticed it helps me look and feel more toned and revitalized. However, since these treatments can be pricey, the idea of achieving similar results at home with the Body Sculpt Kit intrigued me. To learn more, I contacted Dr. Scott Braunstein, a double board-certified physician and the medical director at Sollis Health, a concierge medical provider that offers personalized, on-demand treatment. He explained, "The lymphatic system is a network of vessels and organs beneath the skin that helps filter and eliminate waste and bacteria. Lymphatic drainage massages apply gentle pressure to move lymphatic fluid toward functioning lymph nodes. These massages have documented health benefits for individuals with poorly functioning lymphatic systems, including those affected by cancer, surgery, trauma, or infection. A slow or malfunctioning lymphatic system often leads to swelling in the extremities known as lymphedema."

Even if you don’t have issues with a sluggish lymphatic system, Braunstein notes that lymphatic drainage massages can still provide benefits such as relaxation, stress relief, and cosmetic enhancements. "They can temporarily slim the body by moving fluid away from soft tissues. This has made it a favorite among celebrities before red carpet events or photo shoots," he adds. However, he cautions against at-home lymphatic drainage methods or products if you have certain health conditions, including heart issues, kidney disease, blood clots, or skin infections.

One important detail to keep in mind? Lymphatic drainage massage requires incredibly gentle pressure. There should be no aggressive pushing or pulling of the skin. If too much pressure is applied or the movements are too forceful, it could actually obstruct fluid drainage rather than assist it.

      My Honest Review

The first time I used Biotyspa's Body Sculpt Kit, I had just arrived in NYC after an exhausting eight-hour travel day. Feeling dull, sluggish, and puffy, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to test it out. I began by scanning the QR code on the box; despite my confidence in lymphatic drainage techniques, I wanted to ensure I was using the kit properly. I was directed to a step-by-step tutorial video, which proved to be quite helpful. Following the instructions, I commenced the process.

I applied the Hydrating Shower Gel to my left leg first. Then, I took the Body Sculpt Cup and pressed it against my skin. After some initial trial and error, I managed to get it to suction properly. With gentle pressure, I moved the cup in upward circles. Once I finished with the first area, I proceeded to the rest of my body using the same technique. After rinsing off and stepping out of the shower, I applied some Firming Body Oil to my skin. Initially, my skin looked a bit pink, but as that faded
