Following in the footsteps of beauty icons like Halle Berry, Lilly Collins, and Nicole Kidman, who also made the cut this summer, Richie Grainge traded her long blonde hair for a French-inspired, chin-length bob that is poised to become the hairstyle of the season.

      Having previously gained recognition for her sleek, slicked-back bun hairstyles that epitomized the quiet luxury trend, the new mom's soft, short haircut was a delightful surprise when she revealed it on Instagram this Saturday. “Alright. I have been thinking long and hard about this,” Richie Grainge said on hair stylist George Curran’s TikTok, which showcased her entire cutting journey. “I did one too many keratin treatments, and over the past six months, I’ve just been trimming away, hoping to get rid of this, like, dead hair, and it’s just not working. I know what I have to do to restore the health of my hair. It needs a fresh start, so we’re going with a bob.”

      Styled chicly with a European backdrop, a black tank top, and a striped skirt, her new look appeared particularly effortless alongside her minimal summer wardrobe (she wisely labeled the photo ‘French Bob’). “The last time I had a bob, I was a wild teenager,” Richie Grainge shared in the TikTok. “And I didn’t style it. Not even once.” However, she expressed optimism for this new bob. “I love my bob… I freakin’ love it,” she said after the reveal in the video.

      The look was also given a thumbs up by the bob queen herself, Leslie Bibb from White Lotus, who commented on Richie Grainge’s post with, “welcome sister.” It’s safe to predict that Richie Grainge’s haircut will fill salons with a steady stream of chopping appointments this month.
