      What motivated you to participate in this initiative with Baby2Baby, particularly regarding the donations?

      This Amazon collection is for summer, and given that I have a 1-year-old, I’m deeply involved in everything related to babies—it's pretty much what occupies my thoughts. My connection with Baby2Baby has been longstanding. I'm close with the founders and have always been passionate about supporting mothers and children in my community and beyond. After having my daughter and experiencing postpartum challenges, I started viewing mothers and children with a much more sensitive perspective. Thus, contributing to Baby2Baby has become incredibly important to me. When the opportunity arose to make a significant donation, it was an obvious choice. They do tremendous work for mothers and children worldwide, and any way I can contribute is very valuable to me and the brand.

      You also created a baby registry. It seems like a dream come true for new moms to have such a shopping list. What criteria did you use to select the items? And could you tell me more about the products featured?

      When I was pregnant, I desperately needed a one-stop shop for the essentials. I ended up creating a small PDF registry for myself. After giving birth, I realized I wanted to compile everything in one place, so other moms could have that same convenience. My focus was primarily on essentials—items that I found extremely helpful during my journey. I brought everything together so other moms could benefit from what I found truly useful.

      You have your own collection with Amazon—how did you incorporate your personal style into this line?

      Before Eloise was born, I was buying clothes that I found adorable. However, when they arrived, I ended up donating about half because the fabrics didn't meet my standards or were unsuitable for sensitive skin. It seemed like those details may not have been a priority for the designer; it was more about appearance. Thus, it became crucial for me to be attentive to fabrics and materials while still introducing charming styles for children—that was a major focus. Additionally, having cute essentials is vital. Babies grow quickly, so items may only fit for a few weeks or a month at most. Therefore, having affordable options that I can keep repurchasing is essential. I’m always restocking basic bodysuits in Eloise’s wardrobe. They don't go out of style, they’re adorable, and I can simply size up as needed. These are the true essentials I consistently refill in her closet. The quality of the fabric is incredibly important while still maintaining a fun, playful, and summery vibe.

      What was your approach to designing this collection, and did your style for Eloise impact it?

      In designing children’s clothing, there's much more potential for creativity, playfulness, and bold expression. It's a bit more challenging as an adult—you can’t just wear clothing covered in cheerful designs. Designing kids’ clothes has unlocked a different creative aspect within me that I've been able to explore—this playful, whimsical aesthetic—while staying true to chic silhouettes and fun details. It’s definitely opened a whole new avenue of creativity for me.

      Last year, you referred to it as “mom summer” rather than “Brat summer.” How is this summer shaping up for you?

      I told all my friends it's my hot summer. But honestly, I think I’m perpetually in a mom summer. That's just who I am—and we can absolutely have a hot mom summer.

      Do you have any advice for new mothers? Or is there a particular piece of advice you've received that resonated with you?

      The best advice I received was to not be hard on yourself. All the challenging moments, especially postpartum, will eventually pass. You're doing your best as a mom. I believe that perspective really helped me keep moving forward. Being reminded of this was incredibly beneficial for my mental health.
