It's Official: This Is *the* Shoe Color Trend to Bring on Your Summer Trips
Since shoes occupy a considerable amount of luggage space, I always aim to limit myself to no more than three pairs when I travel. (Fewer than three would be ideal, but I’m doing my best.) Given the constraints of packing, I carefully select my outfits to revolve around versatile shoes that can be worn from day to night, including during travel by plane, train, or car. While this generally means sticking to neutral-colored shoes, there are exceptions. Especially in the summer, I like to inject a pop of color that aligns with current trends, and while I was in NYC last week, Michelle Monaghan happened to wear the exact shade of shoe I intend to bring along for my upcoming summer travels.
If you guessed the shoe color to be pale yellow, you are absolutely right. Various shades of yellow—from butter to lemon—are trending this season, a fact that you’ve likely heard and seen numerous times. Monaghan, who seems to have a penchant for yellow while in NYC, chose the pale yellow shade that I’m drawn to: a lovely hue that complements everything from all-white ensembles to denim and all-black looks, which were among her outfits for the trip. Her flat, pale-yellow loafers added a playful yet sophisticated element to her travel attire, and after noticing many individuals wearing yellow shoes lately, I can attest that they look stylish with more than just neutrals.
