This Trend Is Ready to Take Over Linen Pants in NYC

      Don't misunderstand me—linen pants are beautiful and still quite popular, but I believe we can all agree they have a slightly beachy vibe. And one thing that NYC definitely isn't is beachy. As we move towards fall, I anticipate we'll see more stylish New Yorkers exchanging their linen pants for a more suitable casual option for the city: cargo pants. Well-styled New Yorker Katie Holmes, for example, has already made the switch. Last week, she was seen strolling the streets of NYC in baggy nylon cargo pants paired with ballet flats. (In classic New Yorker fashion, she made a distinctive style choice by opting for a white dress instead of the usual T-shirt.) She isn’t the only one transitioning from linen to cargo pants—I've noticed several NYC women embracing this trend recently, and I'm sure I'll see even more once everyone is back from their vacations.
