We organized the most stylish supper club to welcome summer—here's what happened.

      The July edition of Excellent Taste, Who What Wear UK's monthly supper club, may be our most picturesque yet. Situated high above the city in the elegant setting of Wagtail's rooftop, we convened in The Nest—a cozy, jewel-like dining area at the top of the building, offering unparalleled views of London's iconic landmarks. As the sun set and cocktails were served, we admired the glowing silhouettes of Tower Bridge, St Paul’s Cathedral, The Shard, and the Gherkin in the distance.

      As always, the table was adorned for fashionable conversation. A vibrant array of flowers from our trusted florist, Rebel Rebel, served as the centerpiece on the grand round table, unintentionally reflecting the impressive summer fashion on display. From gingham dresses to linen coordinates, sleek satin slip skirts to stunning Vivienne Westwood midis, it was evident that our guests embraced the theme.

      Chanel added its allure to the evening, giving host Hannah Almassi, Managing Director of Who What Wear UK and Marie Claire UK, and I a radiant glow that matched the event’s atmosphere perfectly. Paloma cocktails were circulated as guests enjoyed the panoramic views and reconnected with friends, both old and new.

      The night featured some of the most prominent figures in fashion and beauty, including brand founders, editors, models, and influencers. Among those in attendance were the always-stylish Lady Amelia Windsor, singer and presenter Dionne Bromfield, and a group of innovative creatives who engaged in discussions ranging from the evolving landscape of fashion media to their exciting summer travel plans.

      The menu was equally impressive, beginning with delicate scallops and creamy burrata paired with vine-ripened tomatoes, followed by expertly prepared sea bass, green risotto, fillet steak, grilled aubergines, and a perfectly balanced chocolate dessert that persuaded the entire table to indulge in a final course.

      As the last rays of golden-hour light vanished behind the skyline, we found ourselves in that delightful state of satisfaction, filled with food, laughter, and great company, yet reluctant for the night to conclude.
