The couple's story began at Erewhon, specifically at the salad bar. "I thought he was attractive and asked if he planned to eat his salad outside and if he’d like to join me, and he said yes," recalls Rachel Tabb, owner of RLT and model, about her spontaneous meeting with photographer Eric Davidson. "So quintessentially L.A." After their chance lunch together in 2018, they dated for seven years, although Davidson felt from the start that they were meant to be. "On our first date, he mentioned that he would marry me, and he still stands by that, proving to be quite an astute prediction," says Tabb.

Their engagement was just as warm and personal as their relationship. "We got engaged at home. I wished for him to create a moment that felt like us—cozy and simple. No grand gestures, no flash mobs or Jumbotrons," Tabb reflects. "The only 'rule' I had was that his daughter, Wylder, had to be part of the proposal because this was about more than just the two of us. I love her dearly and wanted her to feel this was a family occasion."

Following the proposal, they quickly began planning their wedding, choosing locations that held special significance from their dating years, such as the backyard of the bride's family home and a local restaurant they frequently visit. Fashion also played a critical role in their wedding plans. "As the owner of a vintage shop who is passionate about sourcing clothes, I knew I would be wearing all vintage items," Tabb explains. The bride donned archival pieces she had collected for all her significant wedding moments—from her bridal shower to her honeymoon—including a cherished Calvin Klein dress she reserved for her wedding day.

"I found a Calvin Klein dress for the ceremony. I always pictured myself marrying in a slip-style dress with a high neck and low back. This was the one dress I had a clear vision for while sourcing; everything else just fell into place as I continued," she shares.

"I got ready with my mom, sister, and Wylder." Tabb reminisces, "For my preparation, I wore a stunning white feathered robe, which is honestly somewhat amusing in retrospect. I bought it years ago to wear while getting ready for my wedding. It had an Old Hollywood glam feel mixed with Frederick's of Hollywood."

"When it comes to beauty and glam, I tend to keep things straightforward. I know what I like and don't vary much, especially for a day that will be immortalized in photo albums. My glam references were primarily Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, Kate Moss, and Christy Turlington—all very clean and simple aesthetics. Feeling like myself was essential."

The talented Ricky Fraser styled my hair. I chose a French twist to honor my mom, who wore the same hairstyle on her wedding day. Wylder gave me one of her rhinestone hairpins so we could coordinate. It was very sweet, and it fitted perfectly into the updo, serving as both something borrowed and a lovely gesture. For my makeup, Jen Tioseco, who is not just highly skilled but also a dear friend, handled it. I knew I was in great hands.

Although I didn’t have a first look with my husband (we were together all day), I did have one with my dad. This was one of my favorite moments of the day when he helped me put on my jewelry, which held sentimental value as it belonged to his grandmother. We are very close, making it a memorable moment I will cherish forever."

As for shoes, I wore Manolos for both looks. During the ceremony, my mom placed a small blue heart-shaped sticker on the sole of my shoe, echoing a special saying we’ve shared throughout our lives. That was my something blue.

Before heading downstairs for the ceremony, a few of my closest friends joined me in my parents' bathroom, where I was preparing. We shared laughter, hugs, and champagne. Wylder called it 'the girls' room' and still describes it as one of the day's highlights for her.

I opted for minimal jewelry; only two pieces really mattered to me. I wore a family heirloom necklace and bracelet from my great-grandmother, which has been passed down through four generations. I have always dreamed of wearing them since I first saw my grandmother donning them when I was young. She, Momom, is incredibly significant in my life and my top fashion inspiration. I loved playing dress-up in her closet as a child. Wearing something I admired on her made it all the more special.
