Opt for Black Flats—Wearing This Shoe Color with Dresses Will Earn You More Compliments

      Listen—black flats are tough to beat. They are among the few types of shoes you can wear every single day without issue. However, it's fair to say they aren't the most thrilling choice, and one of my favorite styling techniques is to mix things up with different shoe colors instead of sticking to black. Lately, I've found myself swapping black for red shoes quite frequently. Although red shoes aren't a new concept or groundbreaking, that splash of color consistently elevates an outfit, and they surprisingly go well with almost anything they are matched with. I genuinely receive compliments every single time I wear red flats with an outfit.

      Celebrities such as Bella Hadid are well aware of the transformative power of red flats, and Maude Apatow is just the latest example. She was recently spotted at an event in L.A. wearing a dress that would have certainly paired nicely with black flats, but her choice of red Mary Janes with her red-and-white gingham Frankies Bikinis dress was undeniably a bolder choice. I'm sure she garnered plenty of compliments on her outfit.
