Slow Down on Booties—Kate Hudson Reveals the Superior Fall Shoe Style to Wear with Dresses

      (Image credit: Getty Images) This year, music enthusiasts have had plenty of chances to watch their favorite artists perform live with events like Coachella, Glastonbury, Outside Lands, Stagecoach, and Lollapalooza. While these events received significant attention, there was also a less-publicized gathering you might not have heard of: the Up in the Sky Music Festival in Aspen, Colorado. I learned about this event from Kate Hudson, as I’m not particularly well-informed about music.

      Hudson surprised attendees by joining Role Model onstage during the song "Sally, When the Wine Runs Out." For her performance, Hudson wore a stunning outfit that I’m eager to replicate this fall—a long slip dress paired with knee-high suede boots. Personally, I believe ankle boots with very short shafts look outdated. Additionally, I find it looks awkward to have exposed skin between the bottom of a dress and the top of boots, which is why knee-high boots are a great solution.
