Live Tinted's New Complexion Stick Is an Ideal Foundation for Skincare Enthusiasts

      As a young teenager, I was always reluctant to try makeup. At that time, I was much more interested in skincare. Even now, I tell people that if I had $500 to spend, I would allocate 80% of it to skincare before considering anything in the makeup aisle. Eventually, I began to explore makeup more, particularly focusing on eye products. I adored mascaras that enhanced my lashes and bold, shimmery eyeshadow palettes became my go-to.       How I Used the Live Tinted Huestick Complexion Stick

      Using the complexion stick was simple. I aimed for a golden hour-inspired glowy finish, so I started by prepping my skin with Tatcha Dewy Milk Moisturizer (which I've also extensively reviewed). While letting the formula absorb, I did my brows and then applied a small amount of concealer under my eyes, around my nose, and on any blemishes. Next, I reached for my complexion stick in shade 11 and began applying it. A side note: It usually takes me quite a while to match a shade due to my olive skin tone, but I was surprised that it took less than three minutes to find the perfect match. I was genuinely amazed. I swiped the product across my cheeks, down my nose and chin, and over my forehead and temples. Using my Elaina Badro foundation brush, I gently blended the product into my skin, ensuring a smooth and even finish. To complete the look, I lightly contoured my face with the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer in the shade Medium.

      The Results

      I am a fan of products that feel like a second skin, especially since I’m not particularly fond of full coverage, so I appreciated how lightweight and buildable this product was. The shade I was matched with was spot-on, allowing me to avoid using additional products to adjust the color. It gave me the glow I desired without making me feel greasy or oily, which is important for my combination skin. The formula is creamy but not messy, and due to its blendability, only a small amount is needed for application. I initially tested this product on a day when I needed coverage for about three hours. Later in the week, I wore it for an event that lasted eight hours, and it still looked great throughout the day, even while being outside in the heat. On my second testing day, I layered my favorite Glossier blush on top and found that the complexion stick provided an excellent base for cream and liquid products.

      Whether you're a regular foundation user or someone who occasionally dabbles in it, I highly recommend this product. It's reasonably priced and has a luxurious feel.
