J.Crew's New Fall Leather Jackets Have Already Been Approved by Celebrities—Just Ask Chloe Fineman.

      (Image credit: Courtesy of J.Crew) Just recently, J.Crew launched NYFW by taking over the iconic 190 Bowery building. The brand transformed the venue into an immersive J.Crew catalogue that guests could explore, as though the preppy pages had materialized into a home. There was a bed adorned with a quilt made entirely of cashmere and a couch wrapped in J.Crew's signature stripes from its button-downs. The walls were decorated with images from old catalogues and fabric samples. Piles of J.Crew clothing were scattered throughout, reminiscent of an ideal dream closet.

We spoke with her about her favorite aspects of the brand and her fall wardrobe choices. Do you recall how you were first introduced to J.Crew or the initial J.Crew item you owned? Chloe Fineman: It was probably my mom’s barn jacket that I would borrow from her! Or perhaps these perfect capri pants, which shows how I began my J.Crew journey as a shopper in the early 2000s.

CF: I appreciate how J.Crew maintains its classic appeal while continually reinventing itself, which resonates with me. There’s nothing quite like a timeless item, such as the ideal barn coat, but updated for 2025 to be styled oversized over a mini skirt, like wearing a trench over a dress? At the event, I wore this incredible brown suede coat styled as a mini dress! Since Olympia joined J.Crew, I've loved seeing these amazing classic pieces becoming a bit sexier and cooler.

CF: I am absolutely in love with all the leather pieces J.Crew is offering for fall. Years ago, I met Dree Hemingway, who has always been a style icon for me (fun fact: she’s the one who taught me how to wear an oversized menswear shirt), and when I saw her in that leather bomber for the fall campaign, I had to buy it right away. Of course, it’s what Olympia ended up wearing, but since I was hosting, I wanted my look to convey "hostess of a dinner party" vibes, so I styled that stunning suede coat as a mini dress and rocked it buttoned up with some tights! Always reinventing!
