      As far back as I can remember, my aesthetic has favored a subtle and streamlined approach. I occasionally embrace trends, but fundamentally, I have always preferred timeless, minimal pieces. Unsurprisingly, a trench coat ranks high on my list, and like many, I deemed a classic beige version essential. However, I’ve never fully embraced mine. The warm neutral tone can at times clash with my fair complexion, resulting in it remaining in my wardrobe more than it deserves. That’s why I felt a genuine surge of inspiration—and honestly, a bit of relief—when I discovered an alternative neutral that may finally resolve my trench dilemma. Last night, Alexa Chung attended Burberry’s S/S 26 runway show in London, showcasing a classic trench coat reimagined in a stunning pale cream. The light and radiant shade, without being overly stark or harsh, immediately struck me as the upgrade I didn’t realize I needed.
