"'My pity' — Maria Zaitseva released a song in which none of the coincidences are accidental."
Music as a revelation — this is exactly what listeners expect from artists. But what is voiced in a song should not always be taken literally, because it is the product of the author’s imagination, a story that can be inspired by anything, even a morning coffee.
The track "My Pity" — at first glance frivolous, yet at the same time profoundly deep. The listener plunges into an ocean of passions created by Maria Zaitseva, and while trying to make sense of it, feels that there are no heroes in this story. "I don’t know how, but you wrote a song about me and my love," Maria’s followers commented on "My Pity." They were the first to hear the new song and, as the artist’s strictest and most important critics, shared their opinions and prompted her to open up.
Maria Zaitseva: "My creativity is not a factory where a clear algorithm exists. Most of the time it’s complete chaos of actions. I love being in the moment, in the impulse.
"'My Pity' is a sum of my emotions. Like a painter who has colors on his palette and also those he mixes, and sometimes in the process of working gets something he didn’t expect himself. This song is not a carbon copy of what’s happening in my life. It’s some events and my inner state, other people’s stories and my fantasies, and verve, and flirtation. Don’t expect from me a list of names and surnames—you won’t get one (laughs)."
Maria Zaitseva’s "My Pity" is available on all music platforms.
