The founder of "Dream Island" and "Sun of Moscow," Amiran Mutsoev, has been named "Person of the Year" in the entertainment and leisure industry.

      Amiran Mutsoev, the founder of the cultural and entertainment cluster "Dream Island" and of Europe's tallest Ferris wheel, "Sun of Moscow," became the winner of the XXIII International "Crystal Wheel 2025" competition in the category "Person of the Year in the Entertainment and Leisure Industry."

      The awards ceremony took place on September 26 in Sochi and brought together the leading representatives of the sector from Russia and abroad.

      This award was recognition of Amiran Mutsoev's significant contribution to the development of the modern leisure industry and to raising the quality of recreation in our country.

      Located in Moscow on more than 100 hectares, "Dream Island" combines over 16 facilities, including the country's first and the world's largest indoor theme park with 10 animated universes and 49 attractions.

      Since its opening in 2020, "Dream Island" has been visited by more than 19.6 million people, and the number of rides on its attractions has exceeded 120 million. In 2023 the project was granted the status of an official Moscow landmark, and by 2024 one in three tourists traveling with a family chose "Dream Island" to visit.

      Today the cluster sets the standards for the development of the entire entertainment industry in Russia, combining infrastructure, culture, creativity and social initiatives.

      Another large-scale project implemented under Amiran Mutsoev's leadership is "Sun of Moscow," the tallest Ferris wheel in Europe at 142 meters. Since its opening in 2022 it has been visited by more than 20 million people, and the wheel itself has become a new architectural dominant of the capital and one of its recognizable symbols.

      This year Amiran Mutsoev held a working meeting with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. During the conversation the industry's achievements and prospects for the development of the entertainment industry in the country were discussed.

      The head of state noted Mutsoev's contribution to the formation of modern cultural and tourist infrastructure in Russia and expressed support for his future initiatives.
