Before Jenee Naylor established her eyewear brand 12PM Studios, she started the luxury fashion blog HighLowLuxxe as a passion project. This side endeavor began while she was an operations manager at Target, where she excelled in training, recruiting, and promoting staff. She worked diligently to foster a sense of community among her colleagues, ultimately deciding to leave her job to focus on her blog and continue nurturing her fashion community.

Spoiler alert: Trusting in herself proved to be the best choice she ever made. As her own boss, she amassed hundreds of thousands of followers across her platforms, attended fashion weeks, and interviewed industry leaders such as Law Roach.

A significant highlight came years later when she collaborated with Target to launch a clothing line as part of the chain’s Future Collective partnership. After building a dedicated fanbase and forging meaningful connections with brands, Naylor launched her own eyewear brand, 12PM Studios, in July 2025.

Each frame is priced under $150 and draws inspiration from cities that have influenced her creativity, including London, Milan, New York, and Toronto. "I wanted it to feel elevated but never out of reach," she shares. However, the frames quickly sold out within days. (Fortunately, an October restock is on the horizon for those who missed the initial release.)

While Naylor's retail experience provided her with a solid foundation for launching her own business, it was her relentless drive, authenticity, and intentional approach that contributed to her success—and the future looks bright.

Tune in to the latest episode of Second Life to hear more from Jenee Naylor about her journey from a corporate position to a full-time content creator, starting her eyewear brand, and maintaining balance in her life.
