The Internet is Enthralled by Tarte's CC Undereye Corrector—I Had My Doubts, So I Gave It a Try.
As a dedicated night owl, I often need to push myself to go to bed at a sensible time each night. If I had no obligations, I’d likely spend my evenings jotting down creative thoughts and organizing passion projects well into the dawn. However, to maintain a certain routine, I begrudgingly settle in for the night at an appropriate hour. This doesn’t mean I fall asleep easily, as I frequently wrestle with insomnia, leaving me looking quite worn out in the mornings. The primary drawbacks of insufficient sleep are dark circles and puffiness under my eyes. Generally, I opt to conceal dark circles using a lightweight, medium-coverage concealer. Yet after watching several TikTok videos about Tarte's CC Full Coverage Undereye Color Corrector, I was eager to see if it lived up to its reputation. Fast forward, and I managed to get one to try for myself. Interested in the outcome? Continue reading for my complete and honest review.
**About Tarte's CC Full Coverage Undereye Color Corrector**
This creamy formula is suitable for all skin types, offers full coverage, and leaves the skin looking dewy with a natural finish. It contains naturally sourced light-diffusing particles that illuminate the under-eye area and conceal discoloration. Users can expect hydrated, smooth skin that appears more rejuvenated. Key ingredients that contribute to this product’s effectiveness include rose clay for soothing, yellow clay for tone correction, purple clay for brightening, caffeine to diminish puffiness, and licorice extract for skin illumination. Additionally, it contains squalene, hyaluronic acid, and mica to hydrate the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

**Pros:** Hydrating, enhances an awake look, easy to build on.
**Cons:** Limited product quantity for the price, only available in four shades.
**How I Used Tarte's CC Full Coverage Undereye Color Corrector**
This product is user-friendly and simple to apply. To try it, I began with my Tatcha Dewy Milk Moisturizer as a base (which I've also reviewed). Next, I filled in my brows with the Benefit Goof Proof Waterproof Easy Shape & Fill Eyebrow Pencil before using the Tarte concealer. Using a concealer brush, I dabbed a small amount under my eyes, carefully blending to prevent streaks. After concealing under both eyes, I applied it to any red spots, including the creases around my nose, my chin, and any minor blemishes. To evaluate its performance on its own, I refrained from layering other products. As I typically don't wear foundation, this helped me gauge how it would fit into my everyday makeup routine.
**The Results**
I was initially uncertain about whether the product would blend well with my olive skin, as finding suitable shades can be challenging. However, I discovered that the Medium-Tan Peach was an excellent match—it made me look more awake and vibrant, effectively covering my dark circles. Moreover, as a fan of dewy makeup, this creamy formula enhanced that look. Still, it could also suit those seeking a more matte finish; simply layer a matte powder on top or use a mattifying setting spray.
**Is Tarte's CC Full Coverage Undereye Color Corrector Worth It?**
If you don't mind spending a bit, I believe this product is well worth it. My two primary critiques are that it is somewhat pricey for a small amount of concealer and I wish there were more shade options. While it claims to be suitable for all skin types, individuals with oily skin may want to manage shine, as this cream could have the opposite effect. This lightweight concealer is easy to build, allowing users to control the coverage they desire. It also lasts throughout the day, which is essential for any concealer. Overall, I understand the excitement surrounding this product, but as with any makeup, it ultimately depends on personal taste and budget.
