A society premiere of a film about a ferryman from a Zaporizhzhia village was held in Moscow.

On October 22, 2025, the glamorous premiere of the new Russian dramedy "The Ferryman" took place at the legendary Moscow cinema "Oktyabr" — a film already being called one of the most touching and profound works of the year.

The events of "The Ferryman" unfold in one of the villages of Zaporizhzhia on the shore of a Sea of Azov liman in spring and summer 2022 — a turning point for Russia, when the liberation and reunification of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, took place during the special military operation. The director also noted that one of the important plotlines was the ferryman Konstantinych's dream of creating a time machine.

The event was attended by the film's creators and stars of Russian cinema: director and producer Fyodor Popov, actors Artyom Alekseev, Svetlana Permyakova, Natalya Berger, Diana Deeva, Alexander Marin, Ksenia Surkova, as well as media personalities: artist Nikas Safronov, body architect Platon Beletsky, TV host Anna Kalashnikova, singer Tornike Kvitatiani and others
