It's that time of year in Destiny 2 again, as the annual Festival of the Lost in-game event has returned. Running through November 11th, this year's celebration will feature two new haunting activities for both PvE and PvP, along with a plethora of rewards and Halloween-themed masks.

The new Haunted Altars PvE activity invites Guardians to work together to resist the waves of Darkness in a six-player matchmade experience located on the Moon. In this intense combat scenario, players will gather treats, bolster their defenses, and take down the intimidating Headless Ones to earn a host of exciting new rewards.

For players who enjoy battling fellow Guardians, the new Red Rum(ble) PvP mode awaits. This revamped version of Rumble will see six players compete against each other, with unexpected twists accompanying each kill, including explosive pumpkins and surprise Headless Ones to up the ante.

A masked Eva Levante will guide players throughout this year's challenges, and with Eerie Engrams offering gear drops that exceed players' current Power level, the rewards are definitely worth the effort.

The candy collected as rewards can be used to unlock the potential of the Haunted Mask, enabling access to event cosmetics and mods. There are also three notable weapons to collect: the Gunburn Kinetic Submachine Gun, the Hushed Whisper Strand Bow, and last year’s Arcane Embrace Arc Shotgun. These will be available in rare, bright green holofoil variants.
