Installation of the open-air park attraction "Air Vertical": soaring to the Dream! October 27, Moscow — Dream Island has begun installing one of the most spectacular attractions in the open-air park — a 68-meter rotating drop tower, comparable in height to a 25-story building.

"Drop towers in their classic form are a single ascent to the top with one sharp drop. Our model operates in a 'launch & rebound' mode. Here thrill‑seekers can expect a dynamic ascent, a short pause at the top, followed by a series of repeated drops and lifts. Moreover, during the ride the column axis rotates 360°, allowing guests not only to experience a powerful adrenaline rush but also to enjoy the breathtaking panorama opening up for miles around," says Mikhail Kondratyev, CEO of JSC "REGIONS‑Entertainment."

The installation is overseen by employees of the management company JSC HC "Dream Island," who previously worked on the opening of industry‑unique attractions: the tallest Ferris wheel in Europe, "Sun of Moscow," at 140 meters, and Russia's only dark roller coaster, "Flight in the Tunnel," located in the indoor amusement park "Dream Island."

"The tower consists of five sections. On the ground the elements are assembled in pairs, after which, with the help of two powerful cranes, the structures are carefully lifted and brought into a vertical position — one crane holds the lower part, the second provides a steady lift, and then the sections are joined together," explains Gleb Paul, technical director of Dream Island.

"The 'Air Vertical' will become one of the flagship attractions of Dream Island's outdoor amusement park and a new high‑rise landmark on the capital's map. From the top, guests will be treated to a breathtaking view of the city — from the towers of the Moscow‑City complex to the 'Sun of Moscow' Ferris wheel at VDNKh.

"I'm pleased to see the installation of this ultra‑modern, visually striking and very dynamic attraction progressing. I'm confident that our 'Air Vertical' will set records not only for height among drop towers in Russia, but also in the intensity of our visitors' emotions. We eagerly await the completion of assembly and commissioning," adds Mikhail Kondratyev.

Visitors will be able to ride the attraction as early as next summer, following the official opening of the outdoor sector of the Dream Island amusement park. In total, the site will feature more than 20 attractions, including the tallest and most extreme, five themed zones, a landscaped embankment with access to the water, and other unique facilities.
