Can you tell me about some of your favorite pieces available on eBay right now?

There are so many! I recently did a significant closet clean-out that was long overdue. I had accumulated so many items that it felt overwhelming, and I can barely remember half of what's in my closet anymore. A standout piece for me was this adorable Louis Vuitton Van Gogh bag. It’s so cute, and letting it go was tough. However, it’s just too small for my needs! I tend to carry a lot with me wherever I go. Although I'm not a mom yet, I need something like a mom bag. Someone with a more minimalist approach should have this LV bag for just their phone and wallet. It’s one of my favorites, but there are also many pieces I've worn extensively that are hard to part with, even though I know they’re ready for a new home.

What led you to the decision to sell these items? Was it challenging given your passion for curating your wardrobe and experimenting with your style?

For the past eight years, I have been on my fashion journey. Things progressed quickly in my career, and suddenly, I found myself in a position where fashion was a significant part of it. As a young person, I thought, "Now I need a lot of clothes!" This was a childhood dream for me; I couldn't wait to earn my own money to build my wardrobe because I love clothes so much. Over the years, I collected so many items through shopping and collaborations with brands, which created a collection that became overwhelming. I couldn’t use all the pieces to their fullest potential—it felt unfair to them as if they were alive. I realized I needed to simplify so I could appreciate what I have. When deciding what to list on eBay, I picked items that were a bit more unique and potentially collectible. Now that I've done this, I feel refreshed and I'm thrilled at the thought of others incorporating these pieces into their wardrobes for a new life.

Can you elaborate on your process of downsizing your wardrobe? I think many people are considering this as they aim to consume less and focus on making the most of their possessions.

When you accumulate too much, you end up wearing very little. It becomes hard to even see what you own, leading to overstimulation and hindering your ability to enjoy your wardrobe. You might find yourself wearing the same outfit repeatedly because you're overwhelmed. This sentiment is becoming more common as people realize the absurdity of having a packed closet. I've noticed discussions online about this realization. I’m really focused on how we, as a culture, can be more intentional with our wardrobes—that would make fashion enjoyable.

What’s something you’re currently searching for on eBay?

I’ve had a bit of a fashion awakening lately. After returning from fashion week a few weeks ago and trying various borrowed outfits, I felt inspired. For years, I gravitated toward boxy and loose-fitting clothes, but now I’m coming to terms with needing some fitted pants and a nice, short, corseted top! I’m searching for beautifully tailored pieces. While I love comfort, I’m now open to slightly uncomfortable tight pants or a beautifully fitted top. I crave that feeling of perfect fit.
