Dream Island has begun installing a water attraction in the outdoor park — a rafting ride on a 250‑meter whitewater river.
24 December 2025, Moscow — Technical specialists of the cultural and entertainment cluster "Dream Island" have begun installing one of the open park’s largest and most spectacular attractions — a family white-water rafting ride that will allow guests to feel like participants in a real mountain-river descent.
Visitors can expect a quarter-kilometre of swift rapids, unexpected turns and thrilling drops from heights of more than 12 metres. A specially designed lift system carries the rafts with passengers to the top of the course, where the dizzying journey down — through spray and waves — begins.
The water attraction will become one of the flagship features of the open-air amusement park "Dream Island."
"Our new attraction is six six-person rafts and a whole quarter-kilometre of rapid descent over churning waves. Each ride is unique, the route cannot be predicted — you can only trust the elements and enjoy the moment," says Mikhail Kondratyev, CEO of JSC "REGIONS-Entertainment."
Dryers will be installed next to the park’s water attractions where clothing can be dried. They will operate using infrared lamps and an air-heating system: a warm airflow is evenly supplied by fans positioned on all sides, gently blowing over guests. An intelligent computer system precisely regulates the heating and fan speeds taking into account the ambient temperature. Each dryer can accommodate up to five people at a time.
The installation of the water attraction is being overseen by employees of the management company JSC HC "Dream Island," who previously worked on the opening of industry-unique projects: Europe’s tallest Ferris wheel "Sun of Moscow," at 140 metres, and Europe’s largest indoor amusement park "Dream Island."
"The attraction is currently 70 percent assembled. The main works on the channel and the primary lift mechanism have been completed. Installation works are underway to install elements of the water treatment system, as well as the drive motors that ensure the movement of the water flow," explains Dream Island’s technical director Gleb Paul.
Filling the channel with water and carrying out commissioning work will begin next spring, once sustained above-freezing temperatures arrive. After that, cyclic testing will take place. For the winter period the attraction will be put into conservation in accordance with the manufacturer’s rules and the maintenance operations required to prepare it for the next season.
Visitors will be able to ride the attraction as early as next summer after the official opening of the outdoor sector of the Dream Island amusement park. In total, the site will feature more than 20 attractions, including the tallest and most extreme, five themed zones, a landscaped embankment with access to the water, and other unique facilities.
