      I appreciate a simple white tank top just as much as anyone else. They’re convenient to wear, stylish, and lightweight. However, if you're looking to add some flair, there's a new trend in tank tops that is far more interesting than plain white ones. Currently, I’m searching for shirred shirts. To enhance my outfits, I have a few styling tricks up my sleeve, like introducing pops of color, accessories, or texture (which I particularly love). I always keep an eye on trends that feature textured fabrics, like Issey Miyake's iconic pleats. At the moment, the texture trend that I'm really into is shirred shirts, recently highlighted by American designer Conner Ives, known for his viral “Protect the Dolls” T-shirts worn by various celebrities. While Ives didn't create the shirred look, he modernized it. On his recent F/W 25 runway and previously on his F/W 24 runway, he showcased shirred textures on football shirts, polo tops, and, naturally, tank tops.

      Both celebrities and influencers are enamored with Ives’s “Protect the Dolls” shirt, but they’re also raving about his shirred tops. Blackpink’s Jennie also showcased a shirred shirt by Ives on her TikTok. These style icons are known for frequently setting trends.
