5 Summer Trends I'm Happy to Leave Behind, and the 5 I'll Embrace This Fall Instead

      While there wasn't a single trend that characterized summer 2025, we did see several cute but short-lived micro-trends. Accessories inspired by sardines and scarves worn as belts stood out. I asked our editors which summer trends they're ready to say goodbye to and which ones they're excited to style for fall. Taking into account their summer preferences and aversions, I compiled a list of five summer trends I have already moved on from and five fall styles I'm eager to embrace once the unpredictable NYC weather permits.
