H&M's Most Luxurious-Looking Collection Yet Has Just Been Released—7 Items Likely to Be Sold Out by the Weekend.
The final week of August may still be classified as summer, but let’s face it, it feels like September, which signals the start of autumn. Personally, I'm ready for London to turn chilly. It’s time to tuck away my flip-flops and vibrant seasonal prints in favor of cold-weather essentials like warm chocolate brown loafers, dark-wash jeans, and soft cozy knits. Fortunately, there's one destination where I can find all of this and more: H&M. With numerous stylish, new arrivals from H&M appearing on my social media feeds (shoutout to Hollie Mercedes at Copenhagen fashion week!), I visited the showroom yesterday with a clear aim: to discover the chic pieces that had caught my eye. I quickly found that it was H&M's Studio Pre-autumn capsule that offered everything I was looking for. Since its launch in 2013, the brand’s Stockholm atelier has been releasing a new collection every few months, and this time, the focus is on Copenhagen — particularly the city’s relaxed, fashion-forward vibe.
According to Kathrin Deutsch, H&M Studio Collection Designer, "The latest capsule features a tailored yet lived-in aesthetic, as if it has been effortlessly curated over time." The design team placed a strong emphasis on texture, combining “leather and knits with denim, lace, and mesh” to create a modern, elevated capsule that is both wearable and upscale. The new collection boasts buttery brown leather (as seen on Hollie), a sculpted fitted cardigan with a delicate ruffle, relaxed denim jeans, and a sleeveless patchwork indigo top, among other items. The more I explored the collection, the more impressed I became. Each piece seems perfect for a cold-weather wardrobe, strong enough to stand alone but even better styled together. As this collection is exclusively available online, I knew it was something you needed to check out. So, I snapped some photos and rushed back to share my top seven pieces from the H&M Studio Pre-autumn capsule that I plan to invest in. Scroll down to see my favorite selections, read my reviews, and shop the collection for yourself.
The Most Luxe-Looking H&M Pre-autumn 2025 Studio Pieces:
1. Indigo Top + Jeans
Style Notes: I must admit, along with the suede jacket (more on that later), this set was undoubtedly my favorite. Let’s begin with the top. I tried the small size and was pleasantly surprised by its stretch. Normally a true medium, I would suggest sizing down. Its asymmetric design and subtle slit are thoughtful touches that lend a premium feel, making it appear much more expensive than its £45 price tag. I can already envision it styled over a thin knit turtleneck paired with a mini skirt and boots this autumn, and it looks equally chic with the matching jeans. Speaking of those jeans, I tried them in a medium and was genuinely impressed. I pride myself on recognizing high-quality denim, and these exceeded my expectations. Thick and structured yet perfectly stretchy, they can be worn mid-rise with a belt or slung low for that relaxed vibe the collection embodies.

2. Suede Jacket
Style Notes: When I realized that the suede jacket I was drawn to at Copenhagen Fashion Week was from H&M, I knew I had to try it on. Spoiler alert: I was very impressed. I tried a medium and found it oversized in the best way—spacious enough for layering over a thick knit in winter, while still perfect for a throw-on-and-go look this autumn. Its cropped cut and washed brown color aren’t usually my go-tos, but as I styled it more, it worked beautifully. It strikes the right balance of being unique enough to stand out yet versatile enough to integrate seamlessly into my wardrobe, which are key factors I consider for any investment purchase.

3. Knit Cardigan
Style Notes: With layering trends at an all-time high, now is an ideal time to invest in a cardigan. My usual style favors looser silhouettes, so I was initially hesitant about this fitted cardigan, but I was again pleasantly surprised. Constructed from a soft alpaca blend, its asymmetric, sculptural design is undeniably stylish while remaining minimalist for everyday wear. I tried the small size for a more fitted look, but if you prefer the same detailing with more room, I’d suggest sizing up.
