      Like many, autumn is by far my favorite season. Because of this, I often go overboard with shopping during this time of year. As soon as boots, sweaters, jeans, and jackets appear in the new arrivals at my go-to stores, my self-control vanishes. However, this year I've decided to make some changes—beginning with jackets. Outerwear is one of those categories that doesn’t go in and out of style as rapidly as other fashion items, so I usually keep my jackets for many years. Because of this, I don't really need to buy into every jacket trend that comes around each fall, tempting though it may be. For fall 2025, I’ve resolved to limit myself to no more than three jackets. The trends I’ve chosen are versatile and only somewhat trendy, ensuring I’ll still enjoy wearing them long after this fall season.
