Whether it’s used to evoke the aroma of a freshly baked almond croissant or to add a creamy, nutty element to floral scents, almond presents an unexpected gourmand twist in some of my favorite fragrances right now. Just as pistachio was trendy last year, we are now seeing more fragrances incorporating savory gourmands like almond. It introduces just the right amount of sweetness without crossing into headache-inducing territory.

      "What I appreciate most about almond is its duality. On one side, it has a gentle, rounded, almost nostalgic feel; it's comforting, familiar, and somewhat childlike," says David Benedek, founder and creative director of BDK Parfums. Think of cherry bakewells, marzipan candies, and sugared almonds. "Conversely, it can also be intensely sensual and addictive," Benedek continues. It’s like savoring an almond croissant while wrapped in 1000-thread-count sheets at a luxurious hotel, with a platter of sugared almonds at hand. Bouquets of white flowers fill the air, and a gentle spring breeze kisses your skin through an open window. It’s simply breathtaking. The original Valaya is ethereal, airy, and divine, but the addition of smooth almond in Valaya Exclusif elevates it to a creamy and long-lasting experience on the skin. This one is perfect if you seek an almond fragrance that stays light, powdery, and cloud-like without diving too deep into gourmand territory. It could be one of the best perfumes in my possession.

      2. **Acqua di Parma Mandorlo di Sicilia**
