Seen at the COS Show: The Leather Jacket and Plaid Shirt That *Are* Sure to Sell Out by October 1

      Although COS’s New York Fashion Week show this weekend offered plenty of inspiration for fall 2025, what stood out to me the most were two specific COS items that were not featured on the runway. Instead, these pieces were released prior to the official fall/winter 2025 collection and were worn by many stylish attendees. I foresee a quick sellout for these popular items. What were they?       The first item is COS's Checked Flannel Shirt, available in tan and blue plaid. Both color options were seen on guests at Sunday’s show. Plaid shirts have become more popular in fashion this year, but most available choices are quite pricey—very pricey, in fact. COS offers these two options for under $150, yet they appear just as luxurious as their designer counterparts. I’m not alone in this opinion; at least five people around me expressed the same sentiment. During the presentation at the warehouse, I observed the shirt styled in different ways. For instance, WWW editor Anna LaPlaca paired hers with a knee-length, tobacco-colored suede skirt.

      Even more noteworthy was COS's Croc-Embossed Leather Coat, which became the unofficial street style highlight of the day. Made from heavyweight chocolate-brown leather, the price is slightly higher than most COS outerwear options, but it’s absolutely worth it. I, along with a few other attendees, had the fortune of wearing the knee-length, single-breasted coat and can personally attest to its high quality and the considerable interest in it from others.

      Both pieces are bound to sell out quickly. The only question is whether you can snag them in your size before that happens. I suggest acting promptly, as I would bet that both items will be sold out by October 1.
