J.Crew has just launched a new version of its iconic Rollneck sweater, and I am more than thrilled. Originally designed in 1988, this piece has been a key wardrobe item for nearly four decades and shows no signs of fading away. For 2025, the classic shape has been subtly updated, now offered in nine solid colors and four striped varieties. This 100% cotton favorite is so cherished that it's also available for men, kids, and even a limited-edition style for dogs. The Rollneck is already gaining popularity on TikTok, and it’s easy to understand why—it’s one of those elevated essentials that you'll frequently wear while always appearing effortlessly stylish. I’ve been fond of the original version for years and have already added a few colors of the new iteration to my shopping cart. J.Crew’s chief marketing officer, Julia Collier, captured it perfectly in a recent press statement: “The Rollneck is emblematic of our brand: it’s a timeless item that embodies classic American style, yet is versatile enough to be worn and styled in various ways.
