      As a bit of a handbag enthusiast, I frequently get asked about my favorite bag. The truth is, it’s not a straightforward answer. For me, various handbags fulfill different functions. For an evening outing, I rely on my Saint Laurent Le 5 à 7 to keep my small essentials organized. However, when I'm heading to a sunny getaway, I opt for my Loewe basket bag, which has ample space for everything I might need during the flight and at the beach. Yet, one bag stands out as my most frequently used and most complimented: my Polène Cyme bag.

It quickly became a favorite among fashion enthusiasts and celebrities, even seen on Kate Middleton's arm. The bags are elegantly understated, featuring simple gold-embossed branding subtly placed on the smooth leather. While I could easily spend the day discussing the best Polène bags—and I have in the past—it’s the Cyme that warrants a moment in the spotlight.

      The Cyme exemplifies Polène’s design expertise. It boasts a striking shape, carefully considered design elements, and exquisite materials, all combining to create a truly chic and functional bag. The hexagonal form gives the tote its structure, while magnetic sides allow the user to adjust its shape and create extra space when necessary, all while maintaining the bag's elegant appearance even at full capacity.

      What attracts fashion enthusiasts to Polène’s creations is the meticulous attention to detail found in every bag. With the Cyme, the double straps make it my go-to bag. It features both long and short directly attached straps, allowing me to alternate between carrying it by hand and switching to a shoulder bag as needed, such as once my coffee arrives. It’s intelligent, practical, and illustrates that the brand not only designs beautiful bags but also genuinely considers the user. The Cyme comes in two sizes—mini and original—and a variety of colors, including fresh palette editions for autumn/winter 2025. Additionally, all hues are available in both sizes, so you won't have to change your choice based on color. I own the original size, which easily fits my laptop for work daily, plus various extras, and I’ll admit I’m also considering the mini version.
